The Ladder-Max ladder standoff stabilizer is OSHA compliant and structurally built to withstand the weight of placing the stabilizing arms directly on a roof while stabilizing and supporting the weight of the individual on the ladder and still providing the necessary standoff distance to protect gutters and roofing materials from being damaged by the ladder leaning against them. To easily access the roof, the Ladder-Max is placed on the 4th and 5th rungs of an extension ladder, allowing the other rungs of the ladder to extend 36" above the roof surface. My son is a roofing contractor and has been slammed with replacement requests due to recent hail storms here in Montana. I am retired and he asked if I could help him with bid requests. I HATE getting on roofs, feeling this may be the last time I can walk. A couple houses down a roof was being installed and the contractor had a ladder max (I did not know what it was at the time). I asked him about it and he said he has couple of these and they have probably saved him from serious injury a number of times. He let me climb on up wiggle and shimmy and the ladder was dead still. Sold. After ordering online, it was here in two days and I have been using it the last week. My comfort level for getting on a roof has improved immensely though it does not eliminate stupid and paying attention to every step and situation is still vital.

I found it pretty easy and straight forward for assembling the ladder max and installing it on my ladder. I have not used it yet, but it looks like it will be big improvement over the ladder without the laddermax.

Couldn't Find This Quality At The Hardware Stores

I found this product when a local gutter company came to do repairs. I had looked at many stand-offs carried by local retailers, but they were all cheap and did not have the capability to use the roof as a stand-off platform. When I saw Ladder-Max in their truck, I immediately asked them about who made it and where they had acquired it. Here in northwest Washington, gutters need plenty of debris maintenance and I needed a stand-off that allowed me easy access for gutter cleaning. The product was just what I needed, was quality built, and was easy to assemble out of the box. Don't settle for the cheap stuff found at most hardware stores when Ladder-Max is easy to get on line. I am not connected with the company in any way. If you just want a quality product that works, this will be a good buy for you. I used this with a fiberglass extension ladder rated for 300 pounds and had no issues.

WHY did I WAIT SO LONG!

Service was superior. Granted we are in WA and it shipped from Idaho but it was here the next day. Assembly was an absolute cake-walk. The directions- yup written instructions and pictures not only told you what to do in what order BUT ALSO told you exactly what not to do while assembling. Big thing. Once on the ladder it was quite impressive and only too a few seconds. On the roof it does exactly what it was supposed to do, support me from the roof without leaning against any gutter. The only caveat with extension ladders is the ladder needs to be extended by at least two rungs which then changes the balance of the ladder when carrying it from point A to point B and unless I am missing something fundamental my ancient ladders can be fully collapsed with the ladder max on the ladder.

We had new gutters installed and the worker was using a ladder stabilizer. I never know anything like that exited. He told me the brand, but after looking at reviews, I went with Ladder-Max instead of what he was using. I used ladder stabilizer for the first time today to clean my gutters. It was easy to assemble and install. I loved being able to get close to the gutter without worrying about damaging it. And because I could get so close, it made the not so fun job much easier.

I purchased the Ladder Max since I was adding gutters to the house. We have about an 18" overhang so trying to attach the gutters was requiring me to lean backwards and I couldn't get a good position to drive the screws on the mounting bracket. With the Ladder max I could support the ladder on the roof and position myself right in front of the gutter problem solved. It also created a very stable working condition. I have more gutters to install and also painting and this will be the perfect tool. I'm using this on a Werner Equalizer Ladder fit perfect. Thanks
