The Ladder-Max ladder standoff stabilizer is OSHA compliant and structurally built to withstand the weight of placing the stabilizing arms directly on a roof while stabilizing and supporting the weight of the individual on the ladder and still providing the necessary standoff distance to protect gutters and roofing materials from being damaged by the ladder leaning against them. To easily access the roof, the Ladder-Max is placed on the 4th and 5th rungs of an extension ladder, allowing the other rungs of the ladder to extend 36" above the roof surface. The user can then climb the ladder up to the roof and, while holding onto the ladder rails which extend past the roof, side step onto it.

You Bet Your Life

Every time I climb up a latter I risk my life and limbs. I have fallen once and once was enough. I also know a roofer who has brain damage from falling. If you are smart and care about your loved ones you only go up a ladder when you really have to. You also want to buy one of these. It makes the ladder absolutely stable with four points of solid contact and does not depend on gutter which can bend. I bought one and it is very easy to engage/disengage it from my ladder. I feel very safe because my ladder is very solid now.

high quality; exactly what i was looking for; does not slide around on roof; makes top of ladder a bit top have so you need to muscle it around to get it on roof; i would give it a 7 (great) if there was one in the rating area.

I am a home inspector and climb ladders on a daily basis. I luckily have only had one incident on a ladder, where the ladder had slid out from under me when coming down off of a roof. Once was enough and I went on a search for a solution. I found and bought the Classic Ladder-Max about 4 years ago. The stand-off not only stabilizes my ladder and prevents it from moving side-to-side or sliding out, but it also prevents gutter damage. I am a fairly big guy (225lbs), so that is a great bonus. I use telescoping ladders, so most other stand-offs do not work. The Ladder-Max attaches/detaches quickly from my ladder and provides that safety and security I desire. My business has grown and I recently supplied my employee with a Ladder-Max of his own. Future employees will get one too. This product is highly recommended. Thanks Ladder-Max!!

Yes, it does make the ladder top-heavy, but you get use to it. It saves a lot of time as you don't have to move the ladder as often when cleaning gutters. Eliminates gutter damage.

Nice but makes ladder top heavy

It is solid and works just as described. It keeps the ladder off the gutter and does not damage the roof. The only problem is the weight makes the ladder top heavy and makes it a little awkward to move around especially if extended. I do not see that this can be avoided.

Extremely Stable

I'm 6'2" and 285 pounds. I put on the Ladder Max and was really surprised at how much MORE stable my ladder was against the wall. I was up around 20' with gear and I felt safer than ever on a ladder. No side to side slip and far enough away to get the ladder past an awning. My contractor was so impressed he purchased one a week later.
